Trail Tales
A trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks was a distinctively memorable experience. Just 31 miles apart, these iconic Wyoming national parks offered diverse landscapes and wide-ranging outdoor adventures, making them the perfect duo for an epic escape. Towering mountains, vibrant geysers, and abundant wildlife made this journey truly phenomenal. A group of 23 motivated people made the trip extremely enjoyable, with each day packed full of excitement and nature.
Grand Teton National Park – Cascade Canyon and Taggart Lake & Bradley Lake hikes offered a glimpse of the majestic and rugged terrain of the Grand Teton range. Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, and Colter Bay hikes treated us to unparalleled views of the mountains and the scenic Jenny and Jackson Lakes. We even enjoyed live streaming of the Cricket World Cup Final while soaking in the beauty of nature!
Yellowstone National Park – Stepping into a land of bubbling geysers, colorful hot springs, and the iconic Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone was a very different yet equally stunning experience. Witnessing the power of nature as Old Faithful erupted at regular intervals was unforgettable. Stops like Grand Prismatic Spring, West Thumb, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Norris Basin revealed the vibrant hydrothermal landscapes of Yellowstone. Each geyser and hot spring brought something new to the journey. While driving to Leadville/Denver, we were still debating which park was better — but couldn’t pick a winner!
Thank you all for pitching in to coordinate the trip, food preparation, maintaining the schedule, and finally wrapping it up with our classic chant: Chalo… Chalooo… Chalooooooo and whistle!
